Nervous Patients

Are you someone who dreads visiting the dentist? Have you been putting off a routine dental check-up or even dental treatment because you have a dental phobia?

At Kenilworth Dental Practice, we see a lot of nervous patients who have mild to severe anxiety about visiting the dentist or undergoing some form of dental treatment. Dental phobia can occur for all sorts of reasons but the good news is that it can be overcome with the right support.

The first step is to let us know that you are anxious about attending a check-up or having treatment. You may initially want to come into the practice to have a look around and experience the calm, friendly atmosphere without having to sit in the dentist’s chair. If this takes several visits, that’s fine – just tell us what you need.

Many of our nervous patients value all our dentists’ calm and methodical approach. They’ve all been selected for their ability to take the time to explain the treatments you need and why, as well as explaining what happens during that treatment and what the outcomes should be. If you want to know more about the equipment we use or the stages of your treatment, we will be happy to explain.

If you would like to discuss sedation or other pain management options for your treatment, please do tell us when booking in.
